SEND Expansion

From September 2026, Seals class is opening on the first floor. We are excited about the further developments that will be happening to make our school site even more SEND-friendly (and engaging for all pupils) during this academic year:

• A 'Body Shop' room opposite Seals on the first floor. This will be accessible to all pupils at the school and will develop gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, turn-taking, teamwork, balance, agility and many other skills

• A Calming Room adjoining the Seals classroom. This will be a quiet, safe place to take part in small-scale games and to co- or self-regulate when a child is upset

• Arctic Terns: a darkened, relaxing room on the second floor with the option for music and LED lights but also for calming moments with minimal sensory stimulation

Roof Works

Also in 2026-27, our wonderful roof playground is receiving a makeover! Although most of the water ingress has been fixed, we need to make sure our historic and beautiful site is future-proofed, so building contractors will be on site in September, and again at the start of 2027, to take up the existing surface and investigate the leaks. Following this, the playground will be reinstated and will be better than ever. 

Painting and Decorating

We are delighted to work with the Paddington Partnership, a local corporate volunteer organisation, who came in over the summer holidays and painted the top and middle halls and a number of classrooms. There were over 100 volunteers on site and their fantastic work can be seen on a video here:
