Breakfast Club and After School Club

We offer a full wrap-around provision from 8.00 am  to 5.45 pm. This is open to all pupils.

Breakfast Club

Edward Wilson Primary School's Breakfast Club aims to provide pupils with a safe and fun place to start their school day. Breakfast Club is open to all pupils from Nursery to Year 6.

The club provides a space for reading and quiet activities, as well as more structured activities and games. Each morning a nutritious breakfast will be provided, and the children will be encouraged to sit and enjoy their breakfast while talking together with their friends and friendly adults.  At the end of the session, we hope that the children will be fed, happy and ready to learn.

The club runs from 8:00am – 8:45am every weekday during term time (excluding Inset days).   After the breakfast session, the children will be escorted to their class for the start of the day.

Our healthy breakfast consists of:

  • A choice of 3 low-sugar cereals
  • Toast (brown or white bread) with a selection of spreads (e.g. jams, Marmite and marmalade)
  • Fruit juice, hot chocolate and water
  • A selection of fresh fruit
  • (Porridge and cheese/beans on toast is also offered 2 days a week)

The cost of the club is £2 per day, per child (with additional siblings then costing 50p each).

Please book a place with the office.
