Have a look at your 'TALK Homework' and start preparing the notes.

We looked at pictures of rural and urban life in Tudor times. Then we acted out the scenes we saw.

We made models of Tudor Houses as part of our D.T. project. This activity also linked to our history topic about William Shakespeare.

On culture day we dressed in our national costumes. Some of us wore the colours of the flags which represent the countries our families come from.

We enjoyed our dance and origami workshop during cultural day.

We enjoyed working with Don Ray to learn and perform a Russian Cossak dance.

Inspired by our focus book, 'Shackleton's Journey' by William Grill, we chose to write as either Ernest Shackleton or Frank Wild. We wrote and delivered motivational speeches to encourage our crew to persevere in difficult circumstances.

In Science, we explored friction by measuring the amount of force that was needed to pull a shoe across different surfaces.

In Geography, we explored how difficult it is to make a 2D map of the Earth. We found out that all world maps include some kind of distortion. Then we attempted to make a globe from a piece of paper.

During Kindness Week we discussed the importance of being kind and made each other cards containing kind messages.

During science we investigated air resistance by making parachutes of different sizes. We found out that the parachute with the largest area falls more slowly because it has more air resistance pressing against it.

During Literacy, we have been studying the book 'Shackleton's Journey' by William Gill. We role played crew members being interviewed by Shackleton. We had to persuade Shackleton to let us join the expedition to Antarctica.
