Year 5 Trent
Year 5 Trip to Lords Cricket Ground - We met up with children from the Nuryana School in Tenerife with whom we are linked. We had a tour of the famous ground, were coached by professional cricket coaches and took part in language activities with our new friends.
Talk Maths - We wrote number facts in relation to the number 96. Our focus was the four mathematical operations. We took it in turns to share our ideas. If our partner agreed, we wrote it on our shared poster.
Literacy - We have been focussing on the book 'The Adventures of Odysseus' by Hugh Lupton. This book links to our history topic for this term which was 'Ancient Greeks'. We read the chapter about when Odysseus met the cyclops. We wrote our own play scripts based on this chapter and then acted our play scripts out.
